Craig Reingold is a Managing Director at Sellside Group, where he advises consumer products & retail companies on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. With a background in Footwear, Apparel and Accessories, He brings a rare combination of operating experience and transaction expertise. He has led businesses through carveouts, acquisition due diligence, and post-merger integrations at the highest levels of the industry — including serving as President of Honeywell Safety & Productivity Solutions, Wolverine Worldwide (Sperry Top-Sider), and TOMS Shoes.
Craig's operating background gives him a distinct edge in advising clients. At Honeywell, he led a full business transformation: restructuring leadership, overhauling the supply chain and manufacturing, and driving a 14% CAGR and operating income improvement from -5% to +18% over three years. He was central to the subsequent carveout and sale of the division to Rocky Brands, partnering directly with investment bankers throughout the acquisition process to achieve a premium EBITDA multiple.
Prior to Honeywell, Craig served as Global Brand President for Sperry Top-Sider at Wolverine Worldwide, where he led one of the industry's most celebrated brand turnarounds — growing revenue from $43M to $600M at a 24% CAGR over 12 years, with pretax profit growth of 28% CAGR. That performance made Sperry an attractive acquisition target, culminating in two separate acquisition events: Payless in 2008 and Wolverine Worldwide in 2012. He has also held senior leadership roles at TOMS Shoes, Ariat International, and Keds Corporation, consistently driving growth and building long-term enterprise value.
Craig's experience on both sides of the table—as an operator who has lived through transactions and as an advisor who understands buyer and seller needs—makes him a trusted partner for companies navigating transformational moments. He is skilled at identifying value, building the narrative, and executing with precision in complex and competitive environments.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Willamette University. He is based in Lexington, Massachusetts.
