Brian Coad
Managing Director
Brian has over 30 years of experience in financial services, having spent more than 20 years building, growing and running businesses across a variety of platforms - from seed to middle-market, public to private. Brian has more than 20 years of investment banking experience and most recently 10 years of experience in alternative investments. In addition to his role at Sellside, Brian is currently the COO for Cartica Acquisition Corp, a publicly-listed “blank check” company focused on acquiring an operating company in the Technology, Media and Telecom sector.
Brian has financing experience across the capital structure and has proven experience in the capital markets, transaction execution and operational experience. In addition to acquiring strategic assets and divesting of non-core businesses, Brian has experience in valuations, deal structuring and due diligence.
He currently serves as a trustee of Explore Schools, Inc., a charter school management organization in Brooklyn, NY serving nearly two-thousand students, and as an executive officer for The Body Agency Collective, an organization committed to advancing equity in access to health and sexual wellness for our next generation of youth.
Brian is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He currently lives in Washington, DC.
