Amelia Tyagi

Amelia Tyagi is a growth-oriented CEO and thought leader with over 20 years in business services. She brings depth in professional services, staffing, innovative HR solutions, and B2B sales-focused organizations.


Ms. Tyagi was co-founder and co-CEO of Business Talent Group (BTG). In 2021, Ms. Tyagi led the sale of BTG to the global leader in executive search, Heidrick & Struggles (NASDAQ), where she was named CEO of BTG as a wholly owned subsidiary of the public company. She led post-merger integration and oversaw rapid growth (grew by 90% in 2 years).


In 2007 Ms. Tyagi co-founded BTG, a cutting-edge consulting and staffing solution that is pioneering a highly innovative marketplace that allows top-tier independent professionals a different way to work. BTG was twice named to the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies, and was one of 5 female-led companies named to Forbes 100 Most Promising Companies. Under Tyagi’s leadership, BTG raised private equity funding from NextEquity Partners (successor fund to Elevation), and strategic investments from staffing industry leader Kelly Services. She also led BTG’s acquisition and integration of a European affiliate. Ms. Tyagi has successfully led sales to 50% of the Fortune 100, and built a Talent network of nearly 20,000 professionals.


Earlier in her career, Ms. Tyagi was a management consultant with consulting firm McKinsey & Company. 


Ms. Tyagi also co-founded HealthAllies, a venture capital backed firm focused on bringing lower cost healthcare to consumers, which was acquired by United Health Group. 


In addition to her business leadership roles, Ms. Tyagi is deeply involved in the philanthropic community, and has served on numerous nonprofit boards. Ms. Tyagi is also the co-author of two best-selling books on public policy and household economics, and she has appeared in numerous media outlets and is a sought-after speaker.


Ms. Tyagi holds a BA from Brown University, and an MBA from the Wharton School. She has lived and worked in Los Angeles for over 25 years.
