Tej Johnson

Senior Associate

Tej Johnson is an Associate with years of experience in M&A. He currently leads deal origination for the Technology Practice at Sellside Group. He is responsible for sourcing and vetting opportunities for both buyers and sellers, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing CIMs.

Prior to his current role, Tej spent time in the M&A practice at West Monroe Partners, a technology consulting firm, where he worked on a $500 million carveout. Prior to that, he was the top revenue-generating Intern at Sellside Group. He authored an article on the M&A process and key insights, published on the Sellside Group website and his LinkedIn profile, after closing his first transaction just 5 months into the role.

Tej holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Dallas. He volunteered with 180 Degrees Consulting, working with nonprofits like the North Texas Food Bank and the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. He began his collegiate education on a basketball scholarship at Sonoma State University in California.

Tej resides in Dallas with his partner and French bulldog puppy. He is an Atlanta sports fan and enjoys water sports, traveling, basketball, and has recently taken up skiing.
