Matthew Cahill

Matthew Cahill joined Sellside Group in August 2026 after completing an internship with the firm earlier that summer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance. Prior to transitioning into M&A advisory, he spent a decade working as an industrial mechanic, including six years as an underground drift mechanic across multiple gold mines, where he stepped up into a lead role.

At Sellside Group, Matthew Cahill works with both buy-side and sell-side clients, focusing primarily on the Industrial and Food & Beverage sectors. His primary responsibilities include leading outreach efforts and coordinating deal workflows across active and incoming transaction opportunities. He leverages the strong leadership, operational discipline, and practical problem-solving skills gained from his tenured mechanical background to drive results for clients.

Outside of work, he is an outdoor enthusiast who thrives on taking on tough challenges.
