Vivek Sarin

As an entrepreneurial and mission-driven executive with a passion for building and cultivating impactful relationships, Vivek Sarin is a recognized thought leader and consultant who drives organizational growth through his superior strategic vision, comprehensive business acumen, supply chain expertise, and a vast global network. He envisions and delivers distinctive customer experiences, operational initiatives, and strategic programs that facilitate collaboration, enhance culture and drives profitability. 


Vivek currently serves as the president and founder of Juvo Company LLC in Louisville, Kentucky, providing a range of professional services to investors of growing organizations including strategic business consulting, supply chain solutions, business development services, and interim CEO/leadership support. He has provided strategies and guidance that enabled clients to achieve record EBITA growth and aided capital raise due diligence activities to accelerate the launch of startup organizations. Mr. Sarin is also the co-founder and host of the Leading Forward podcast, where he facilitates engaging conversations about the interface between healthy leaders and healthy organizations.


Prior to his current roles, Vivek was selected by Kentucky’s Governor to co-lead the Governor’s transition team and serve as the Secretary of the Cabinet of Economic Development for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. During this tenure, he led state-wide economic development initiatives valued at $22.6B, drawing new investors and businesses into Kentucky and creating 60,000 new jobs. Vivek traveled internationally, leading eight trade missions and facilitating meetings with ambassadors, company executives, and government officials across the world to attract investment and create jobs in Kentucky. He crafted and organized unique events that illustrated the value of Kentucky to new investors, and has entertained foreign dignitaries and domestic officials, even arranging for a select group of US executives to meet with the U.S. Vice President at the governor’s mansion.


Earlier in his career, Vivek served in several roles for a family-owned and operated, middle market manufacturing company, Shelby Industries, where he established a comprehensive foundational skill set in manufacturing, R&D, marketing, ISO, lean business and plant operations, JIT inventory management, logistics, and safety principles. He led the standardization of all operating and manufacturing systems, launched four new product lines, and facilitated international business growth through negotiation with strategic accounts. As the president and CEO, he effectively balanced opposing viewpoints between board members and company executives during times of company hardship, ultimately maintaining cash flow by transforming the organization’s operating model.


Vivek holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, during which he participated in the International Business Program at Regent’s University in London, UK. He has also earned a Bachelor of Science in business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Complementing his formal degrees, Vivek has completed the National Minority Development Council Advanced Management Education Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, as well as the Negotiating and Influencing Skills for Leaders program at London Business School in the UK.  Vivek and his wife, Amy, currently reside in Louisville, Kentucky, and are the parents of four adult children.
